Collectors of the cute and practical little animals rarely even have the opportunity to find and capture special Shiny animal creatures. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find them.
How to find Shiny Beasts in Hogwarts Legacy
The Hogwarts Legacy video game includes a lot of familiar contents from the well-known Harry Potter novels, and thus a huge fantasy world with its own characters, places and stories. In the open game world, you’ll often encounter a variety of animal creatures on your journey. Later in the game, you can capture them with the help of a grab bag and offer them a new home in the Room of Wishes, or sell them for profit in the village of Hogsmeade.
However, in addition to the sex, they also differ in the variant. Rarely you will meet special Shiny variants, which have a different coloring. This mechanic should be quite familiar to connoisseurs of the Pokémon games, among others. In addition to their other appearance, you can recognize them by a small star next to their name.
The rare Shiny forms of the animal creatures spawn randomly among their peers. To farm the special variants, you need to visit the spawn point of the respective creatures more often and adopt the day-night cycle. You can speed up the time of day by pressing a key on the map.
Another good way to get the rare beast variants is the breeding mechanic in the Room of Wishes. At least one of the two sex partners must be a Shiny animal with an asterisk next to its name in order to get the cub in a Shiny variant as well, if you’re lucky.
