General spells
Arresto Momentum – This spell stops creatures in free fall.
Disillusion– With the help of this spell you disguise yourself and become invisible to your enemies for a short time.
- Unlock: Can be learned in the course of the main quest. This in the course of the quest, where you travel with Sebastian in the forbidden section.
Accio– With this call spell you can summon things. This also works for things which are not in sight.

- Unlock: Automatically learned in the course of the first quest.
Protego– This spell creates a magic shield for a short time, with which you can defend yourself against spells or objects like weapons.
- Unlock: You will learn Protego during the mission with Professor Fig and the Knight Statues.
Reparo– As the name suggests, you can use Reparo to repair smaller objects or larger structures such as bridges or walls.
- Unlock: After completing the first day of school, Reparo can be learned from Professor Ronens as part of the side quest.
Revelio– Invisible creatures or objects can be made visible with this spell. This is especially helpful with hidden enemies or objects.
- Unlock: You will learn this spell during the first main mission.
Stupor– Living beings freeze and become immobile.
- Unlock: You will learn the spell during the first quest with Professor Fig.
Transformation– With this spell you can transform objects or living beings.
Wingardium Leviosa – This spell can be used to levitate and move objects or creatures.
- Unlock: Can be learned from Professor Garlick as part of the side quest. Test her plants in battle and then pay her a visit in the Herbology classroom.
Evanesco– Cast this spell on an object and it will disappear. Used in the Room of Wishes, you will bring back moonstones with it.
- Unlock: The spell is learned during the main quest of Hogwarts Legacy and from Professor Weasley.

Spells for combat and to inflict damage
Ancient Magic–When at least one bar of the Ancient Magic bar is filled, you can unleash a powerful attack spell that deals great damage to enemies.
- Unlock: The spell can be learned on the first visit to Hogsmeade.
Ancient Magic Attack– Creates floating objects that can be thrown at enemies to deal damage or break through spell shields.
- Unlock: The spell can be learned on the first visit to Hogsmeade.
Bombarda– When this spell is cast, an explosion occurs.
Confringo– When acting, a major explosion occurs due to lightning.
- Unlock: You will learn this spell during the main mission “In the Shadow of the Crypt”.
Descendo– With this you push objects or enemies to the Ground.
Diffindo– This spell is used to cut objects.
- Unlock: Prerequisite is unlocking the main mission “In the Shadow of the Crypt”. Diffindo can be learned from Professor Sharp as part of the side quest.
Expelliarmus– With this you disarm enemies and fling their carried items or weapons out of your hand.
- Unlock: Learnable after the first visit to the forbidden department. You unlock this as part of Professor Hecat’s side quest.
Flipendo– If the target is on the Ground, it is flung back. In the air, it turns this one around quickly.
Incendio– With this spell you create fire and cause greater damage to enemies at short range.
- Unlock: You will learn this spell in the main mission as part of Professor Hecat’s quest.
Petrificus Totalius – Sneak up on enemies and immobilize them with the spell or kill them instantly.
- Unlock: You will learn the spell automatically during the main mission.

The terrible / forbidden curses
Avada Kedavra – This forbidden spell or curse brings instant death to the target.
Crucio– With this spell you torture the target with terrible pain.
Imperio– With this spell you subdue your target and control it at will.
