Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Guide: These are the best Pokémon for the Tera-Raids

With Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, developer Game Freak released the latest editions of the long-running adventure game series this year. This time we’re going to the region called Paldea, whose open game world invites us to explore and discover. One of the biggest innovations is the teracrystallization of Pokémon. During a fight, when activated, they take on an additional type besides their actual type and can thus decisively influence the course of the fight.

Large colorful crystals appear throughout the game world, which hold a so-called Tera Raid ready. Interacting with it will start a battle with up to four trainers against a crystallized Pokémon. In addition, special Tera raid events take place regularly, through which you can get pocket monsters that are not regularly available in the game if you win. An example of this is the fire Pokémon Glurak, which is popular with many players. This strong Pokémon can be fought against in an event in December 2022. It can be found with black crystals.

The Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet can be quite challenging in the endgame.

The Tera Raid battles in the endgame of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet can prove to be difficult, as the enemies are high level and can give your team a good run for its money. There is no perfect Pokémon for these challenging battles, but in this guide we would like to introduce you to Pokémon and attack combinations that have already proven to be very effective. Here we draw on our own experiences and those of other players, which you have already shared with the community.

Generally, it is advisable to upgrade the status values of the corresponding Pokémon with items such as HP Up, protein or Zinc before maximizing the level. The increased values of the HP, attack or defense value are especially in the Tera-Raids of great advantage. These can be found in the open game world or bought in corresponding stores. The latter is recommended to save a lot of time. You should not be sparing with these items and feel free to give your pocket monster a number in the double digits.
