Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is all about the adventures of your self-created character and the Pokémon. There are a lot of them in the Pokémon game series. You can get them by catching them with a Pokéball, trading them with other trainers, or simply breeding them yourself.

How to get Pokémon Eggs in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
If you want to breed Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, you’ll have to do things differently than in the previous games in the video game series. To get an egg, you need to use the picnic feature of the game. If you want to get an egg, there must be at least two Pokémon of the same type in your team. In addition, it must be a male and a female.
If you want to breed a Pokémon of which you don’t have a male and female in your team or box, it will work. In this case, you need one of the two genders and a Ditto. Already in the previous versions of the game, you could replace one of the two pairs with this mutable Pokémon.
To get a Pokémon egg at a picnic now, you just need to spend enough time. To pass the time, make sandwiches, wash your Pokémon or throw a ball to your companions. After some time has passed, look in the basket next to the picnic table and click it. There is now an egg there.
Hatch & improve chance of getting a Pokémon egg
Once you have received an egg, all you have to do is hatch it. This process is as simple as in the previous games. You have to include the egg in your team and cover a certain distance. It doesn’t matter whether you do this on foot, or on your Miraidon or Koraidon.
Breeding Pokémon can also be optimized in Pokémon Scarlet. Eating certain foods will give you a higher chance of getting an egg in your picnic basket. Some foods like sandwiches have the egg power property. You can either prepare these dishes yourself or buy them in stores. With the help of the egg power you can optimize the breeding of Pokémon and find an egg more often.
