These are the strengths and weaknesses of the Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet
Each of the Pokémon is assigned one or two types. The type categories range from something like fire or water to dark and many others. Certain attack types can be either very effective or not very effective against other types. Accordingly, an attack does more or less damage to the opponent. If you want to remember this effectiveness, it’s sometimes quite simple: for example, Water attacks do a lot of damage to a Pokémon with the Fire type, but not vice versa.
Then, when a Pokémon has two types, things get a little more complicated. For example, a Pokémon that is of the Fire and Flight types is vulnerable to Water and Rock type attacks. But also electric type attacks do more damage. Your battle against a Pokémon Trainer is often decided by knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your companions and using them effectively against your opponent’s Pokémon.
