Silent Hill f – Missable Items & Points of No Return (Missables Guide)
Silent Hill f Missables: Overview of all missable items & points of no return.

There is a lot of lore and hidden secrets in Silent Hill f – but you can’t catch up on everything afterwards. Some items, collectibles and quests can be missed if you go through the chapters too quickly or overlook certain side quests. This guide shows you all the missables in chronological order, including points of no return, so that you don’t lose anything important for endings, trophies and the bonus ending.

Why missables are so important in Silent Hill f

The horror game relies heavily on decisions and exploration. Some collectibles are tied to side quests, some doors close permanently after progressing through the story. If you are not careful, you will lose achievements such as “Collector of Shadows” or miss out on requirements for certain endings. A repeat run is possible, but time-consuming – so it’s better to pay attention during the first run.

Spoiler-free brief overview

  • Chapter 1: A collectible in the classroom (brooch) easy to miss.
  • Chapter 2: Quest “The Sick Woman” must be completed, otherwise the amulet will be lost.
  • Chapter 3: Quest “One last wish” for flower brooch crucial.
  • Chapter 4: Quest “The Sacrifice” gives exclusive item – no longer possible after the end of the chapter.
  • Chapter 5: “The Prodigal Son” provides a medallion, later no longer accessible.
  • Chapters 6-7: Several collectibles in caves and ritual rooms that are locked after the story events.
  • Chapter 8 (Finale): Only those who have collected all 44 items beforehand will see the secret document.

All Missables & Points of No Return

Chapter 1 – Prologue

  • Weathered brooch: In the classroom to the left of the blackboard. Barely visible, many players walk past it. Missed after leaving the building. Important: This brooch counts towards the bonus ending.
  • Tip: Examine each classroom thoroughly – some items are half hidden in the shadows.

Chapter 2 – Clinic

  • Lost amulet: Reward for the side quest “The Sick Woman”. Without the quest, the item is permanently lost. It is a key item for a small lore sequence in the finale.
  • Bloodstained letter: In the waiting area. Easy to overlook if you go straight on.
  • Warning: As soon as you trigger the main sequence in the clinic, the rooms are no longer accessible afterwards.

Chapter 3 – Village

  • Flower brooch: Only via the quest “One last wish”. If you skip it, you can never get the item again. The brooch also counts towards an alternative piece of dialog in the final chapter.
  • Handwritten letter: In the attic of the abandoned house. Access only possible once, then blocked.
  • Tip: Talk to all the NPCs at the edge of the village to make sure you don’t lose any quests.

Chapter 4 – Dark revelations

  • Bloody Dagger: Exclusively via the quest “The Sacrifice”. No longer available after the end of the chapter. This item is relevant for an Achievement.
  • Small wooden figure: chest in the garden, key from cultist. If you overlook the opponent, the chest will remain locked forever.
  • Warning: The garden is permanently locked after a cutscene.

Chapter 5 – The turning point

  • Small medallion: Quest “The Prodigal Son” provides this item. No access without the quest. Also a prerequisite for the bonus ending.
  • Burnt photograph: In the fireplace. When you leave the house, the option disappears. This photograph contains lore about the elder’s family.

Chapter 6 – Descent into the depths

  • Old music box: On a ledge in the cave. Only accessible on the first descent.
  • Bloody Feather: Lies next to a fallen cultist. Can no longer be found after the sequence. It is required for an achievement.
  • Tip: Use a flashlight to illuminate dark corners – otherwise you will easily overlook these items.

Chapter 7 – Decision

  • Forbidden manuscript: Behind movable shelf in the library. Permanently locked afterwards.
  • Family photo: Quest “Keep a promise” brings this item – missed without a decision. This photo influences a cutscene in the finale.
  • Warning: Chapter 7 is a big point of no return – be sure to save before you make your decision.

Chapter 8 – Final

  • Secret document: Only if you have collected all 44 collectibles beforehand. Otherwise it remains invisible.
  • Tip: This document is a prerequisite for the bonus ending. Without 100% collectibles, you will not be able to reach the secret finale.
