The 30 days in The Blood of Dawnwalker are a limited resource. Through the Sanzhani, however, you can get a full day back. To do that, you need to complete five tasks and then return to the Tsarina. Start with Good Home. Only after finishing that quest do the other four Sanzhani appear at their locations.
| Quest | Area | Task |
|---|---|---|
| Good Home | Svartrau outskirts | Start the quest chain |
| Pearly and Precious | Briar Sloughs | Follow tracks and find bandits |
| Tiny Dancer | Svartrau | Free a captured Sanzhana |
| Come Hither | The Silts | Defeat a Murohn in its burrow |
| Burrow Sorrows | Rockfalls | Clear a burrow of Kobolds and recover the Charm |
Finding Good Home and Starting the Sanzhani Quest Chain
You’ll find the first task in the outskirts of Svartrau. Travel to the Sandy Gorge shrine and head east from there toward the ravine. Look out for a noticeable ring of glowing mushrooms there — it leads you to a Sanzhani burrow.
That’s where Good Home begins. The quest centers on Heile and her brother Tonis. Over the course of the quest, you need to track Tonis down and ultimately decide whether Heile stays with the Sanzhani or leaves with her brother.
What matters for the rest of the quest chain is that you finish Good Home. After that, the Letters to Lunka task becomes available, and the other four Sanzhani appear at their respective locations.
Finding the Other Four Sanzhani
After Good Home, you can tackle the remaining four tasks in any order. They’re spread across several regions of Vale Sangora.
Pearly and Precious in the Briar Sloughs
Pearly and Precious starts in the southern part of the Briar Sloughs. Use the Small Bridge shrine as a landmark and look south of it, on the other side of the river, for an abandoned camp.
Activate Focus Mode there. This lets you spot tracks leading from the camp into the forest. Follow them until you find the bandits, and the Sanzhana.
Tiny Dancer in Svartrau
You’ll find Tiny Dancer directly in Svartrau, south of Altenmarkt. Near the relevant house, you can hear the Sanzhana before you actually see her.

She isn’t at street level, but rather in an upper room of the building. Search the house and examine the Storekeep’s Letter. You can find the Merchant’s Key by the lute, which lets you open the locked door and continue upstairs. There, look for the Cage Key and use it to free the captured Sanzhana.
Before leaving, use Focus Mode to examine the loose floorboards and finish the remaining investigation inside the house.
Come Hither in The Silts
You’ll find Come Hither in the eastern part of The Silts. Use the area north of the Verda Marsh Guardpost as a landmark.

As you approach the location, you’ll hear a distinctive sound. Follow the Sanzhana to her burrow. A Murohn has taken up residence there, and you’ll need to defeat it.
Burrow Sorrows in Rockfalls
You’ll find the last Sanzhani task, Burrow Sorrows, in the northern part of Rockfalls. Use the Giant’s Pawns shrine, or the area near the Boarback Trail, as a landmark.

Here, you need to help the Sanzhani reclaim a burrow that’s been taken over by Kobolds. Clear the burrow of enemies, then retrieve the Charm from inside. Bring the Charm back to the Sanzhana to complete Burrow Sorrows.
Finishing Letters to Lunka and Getting a Day Back
The Sanzhani can carry messages to Lunka while she’s being held captive by Brencis. Letters to Lunka becomes available after completing Good Home. After that, each further Sanzhani task you complete allows you to return to the Tsarina and send another letter to Lunka.
After sending a letter, you need to wait one full in-game day, or 16 time segments, for Lunka’s reply. You can then return to the Tsarina and continue the exchange as you complete the remaining Sanzhani tasks.
Once you’ve helped all five Sanzhani, return to the Tsarina at the Yawning Burrow in the outskirts of Svartrau. There, you get one full in-game day back, effectively restoring 16 time segments and pushing back the deadline until Brencis’ coronation accordingly.
You only receive one additional day in total, not one day for each Sanzhana. Completing all five Sanzhani tasks also unlocks the achievement/trophy The Tsarina’s Favourite Human.
Are the Sanzhani Quests Worth It?
Yes, especially if you want to complete as many side quests as possible in a single playthrough. A full extra day gives you more room to maneuver before Brencis’ coronation.
You also don’t have to complete all five tasks back to back. Since they’re spread across several regions, you can combine the Sanzhani with other quests in Svartrau, the Briar Sloughs, The Silts, and Rockfalls, saving yourself unnecessary trips.
