The quest “The Price of Magic” is a hidden side quest in The Silts region of The Blood of Dawnwalker. There’s no classic quest giver for it. Instead, you stumble upon a corpse and the remains of a ritual in a remote stone circle.
If you find the missing clues and finish the ritual, you’ll get the epic Mysterious Bracelet. To do this, you need to reach the stone circle during the day and set aside a total of three time segments. We’ll show you where to find The Price of Magic and how to complete the ritual.
The Price of Magic Location: Where to Find the Stone Circle
You’ll find the stone circle in The Silts, southwest of the shrine by the Swamp Menhirs. There’s no quest giver there, so you need to discover the stone circle yourself.
There’s a corpse at the stone circle. This quest requires Compel Soul, so you can only complete it during the day—make sure you arrive while it’s still light out.
Solving The Price of Magic: Finding the Page and the Book
Around the stone circle, you’ll find several clues you need for the ritual. Activate Focus Mode—this highlights the important spots.
- Examine the corpse and use Compel Soul on it to question the dead man about the ritual.
- Pick up the pendant lying right beside the body.
- Go to the central pillar and look behind it for the torn-out page and the discarded torch.
- Look to the right of the pillar for the book De Vocatione et Ligatione.
- Pick up the bracelet directly in front of the pillar.
Once you’ve examined everything and used Compel Soul on the corpse, you can return to the central pillar and start the ritual.
Completing the Ritual with Astral Communion
At the central pillar, you can continue the unfinished ritual using Astral Communion. To do this, you need to reach the stone circle during the day. Also set aside three time segments.
Once you’ve completed the ritual, several spectres appear around the stone circle. Defeat them to successfully complete the quest The Price of Magic.
Reward: Getting the Mysterious Bracelet
After the fight, you get the epic Mysterious Bracelet along with 100 XP. The bracelet is a piece of light armor for your arms and the main reward for the quest.
