Before the Polish publisher CD Projekt released the sci-fi role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077, it made a name for itself in the video game industry with the fantasy saga The Witcher and earned a good reputation among gamers. Sword Aerondight from The Witcher as a vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077:

You can already find some Easter Eggs in the prologue of Cyberpunk 2077. Already in the first installment of The Witcher series, the famous and unique silver sword Aerondight was introduced and also found its place in the follow-up titles. In the course of The Witcher’s storyline, Geralt will take you to the Lady of the Lake, who will give you the legendary sword. This sword once belonged to a famous warrior who lost it in the lake. This sword shall serve you well from now on.

A reference to this weapon was hidden in Cyberpunk 2077. Already at the beginning of the prologue you’ll receive the quest to steal a vehicle. To make sure you know what this looks like, the client will show you in a magazine. And lo and behold: The sports car bears the name Aerondight and thus the same as the sword from The Witcher.

Nilfgaard becomes “Milfguard

Witcher players are familiar with Nilfgaard: in terms of economy and a large army, it is one of the most powerful realms in the fantasy universe. Over the years, with sheer superiority and strategically well-planned conquests, the latter was able to annex many countries to its own empire and gain power.

The metropolis of Night City in the sci-fi role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 is brimming with advertising posters for various fictional companies, in keeping with the setting. One of these posters should particularly catch your eye as a Witcher fan. There, a company namely advertises with the slogan “Milfguard”. This should undoubtedly be an allusion to the Nilfgaardian Empire.

Ciri Easter Egg in Cyberpunk 2077

One of the most important characters in The Witcher lore belongs to Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon (known as Ciri), who is the princess of the kingdom of Cintra. She turns out to be a fateful encounter of the protagonist and virtually develops into his foster daughter.

If you choose the Lifepath Corpo in Cyberpunk 2077, you should pay a visit to the Arasaka corporation’s headquarters at the beginning of the game. Once there, you can search the offices. Once in V’s former office, open the drawer of the desk and find one of the first Easter Eggs of the game. There is a video game magazine about retro games and a picture of Ciri is emblazoned on the cover. In the further course of the game, however, it plays no further role.

Fixer Dexter wears a The Witcher Easter Egg on his own body

In the course of the CP 2077 storyline, you’ll meet the devious fixer Dexter Deshawn. He is one of the business partners in Night City you better watch out for. Besides having an important role in the video game, he was also given a small Easter Egg about The Witcher. To find this one, you’ll need to take a closer look at his shoes.

These adorn a logo representing the witch medallion. More precisely, it is the coat of arms and well-known trademark of The Witcher trilogy. This is worn by the sorcerers of the Wolf School, to which Geralt of Riva belongs.
