The Viking survival game Valheim from the developer Iron Gate AB offers an open game world with a lot to discover. In the course of the gameplay you’ll have to build safe dwellings or even entire villages, collect a lot of resources and contend with smaller opponents as well as strong bosses. However, if you want to farm less or spend countless hours in the game, there is also the possibility to use cheats in the game.

How to activate the cheat mode in Valheim
To be able to open the cheat console in Valheim, you need to make a provision before starting the game. Search for Valheim in your Steam library and right-click on the game to open its properties. In the category General you now enter the value “-console” in the start option and save the entry.
Now start the game and after loading the singleplayer world you can open the cheat console with the F5 key. To be able to enter a cheat effectively, you must now enter the command “devcommands” . This will activate the cheat mode in Valheim. Below we have summarized all the cheat commands of the game with short description.

After the cheat mode has been activated in Valheim, the individual commands can be entered and activated with the Enter key. With the command “help” the console will show you the available cheatcodes. The following cheats are available in the game:
- save – Forces saving the world
- heal – you heal yourself completely
- god – activates god mode and you become invulnerable
- killall – Kills all enemies in the near radius
- location – sets a spawn point
- sleep – skips a day
- goto [x,z] – teleport you to the entered position on the map
- exploremap – Reveals all areas of the map
- resetmap – the revealed areas of the map are covered again
- freefly – The camera can be moved in free Flying using the movement keys (great for great screenshots)
- ffsmooth – Uniform free flight
- randomevent – Starts a random world event (red circle on the map)
- stopevent – a currently running world event is stopped (red circle on the map)
- removedrops – removes all items that were dropped on the Ground
- skiptime [Sekunden] – skips the entered seconds value
- tod 1 – The time of day is changed to day
- tod 0 – The time of day is changed to night
- tame – Tames all (tameable) creatures nearby
- ghost – You become invisible for enemies (Harry Potter’s cloak of invisibility says hello)
- raiseskill [Skill] [Level] – changes the skill level value to the entered one (for example: raiseskill jump 100)
- resetskill [Skill] – resets the specified skill to 0
- resetcharacter – Resets your character values
- beard [Beard1] – Change to the entered beard type (for example: beard Beard2)
- model 0 – Change your game character to male
- model 1 – Change your game character to female
- players [nr] – changes the difficulty level (value 0 resets it)
- resetwind- Resets the wind
- env [Wetter] – Changes the weather (Clear, Heath Clear, Twilight_Clear, Misty, DeepForestMist, Rain, LightRain, Thunderstorm, Swamprain, Bonemass, Snow, Twilight_Snow, SnowStorm, Twilight_SnowStorm, Ashrain, Crypt, GDKing, Eikthyr, Goblinking, Moder
- resetenv – resets the weather to default
Valheim: How to cheat for enemies or items
In addition to the cheat codes already listed, you can also cheat your way to enemies or items. After typing “devcommands” the command for spawning is: “spawn (name) (number) (level)”.
For example, if you want to get 5x units of wood, the command is “spawn wood 5”. The worn armor or weapons in Valheim are equipped with levels, which can be increased. To get 1x bronze sword with level 3, enter “spawn SwordBronze 1 3”. Below we summarize all spawn commands for you.
