Gotham Knights: The four playable characters in profile

Nightwing – The „first Robin“ who became a hero

Nightwing’s real name is Dick Grayson and he became known as Batman’s first sidekick under the name „Robin“. Discovered at a young age, he received intensive training from Batman and was trained in combat. In the process, over the years he secured the position of the oldest and most experienced Batman family member. Later he assumed the identity of Nightwing. He has a strong intellect, is a true master detective and has a strong will. In battle, in addition to his skill and physical strength, he relies on his two batons, which he wields masterfully.

Red Hood – A hero with a troubled past

Red Hood, formerly known as Jason Peter Todd, has had quite an eventful life story. At times he was chosen as the second Robin after Dick Grayson (a.k.a. Nightwing) and made a name for himself among his enemies as an aggressive, relentless and brutal sitekick of Batman. However, one fateful day he was killed by Joker in the Batman story „Batman: A Death in the Family“. And later Tim Drake takes his place as the now third Robin . In the years that follow, however, Todd is brought back to life, lies in a coma, is healed by Talia al Ghul in the Lazarus Pit, and assumes the identity of the Red Hood. After he then acts as Batman’s adversary, he does eventually switch sides and becomes part of the Batman family again. In combat, he relies on the use of firearms, mostly two pistols, in addition to his punching skills.

Robin – Probably the most famous sidekick of Batman

In young Robin, Batman has found a very valuable supporter and partner. With civil name Tim Drake, he was appointed sidekick by Batman one day as the now „third Robin“ and trained in fighting villains. He is already a true super genius at a young age and has psychologically distinctive characteristics. In battle, he relies on martial arts techniques and attacks his enemies with his collapsible fighting stick. He also makes use of versatile stealth techniques. Once a crime case has grabbed him, he doesn’t let go of it so quickly. He does everything he can to make sense of the clues and solve the case.

Batgirl – The most popular crime fighter among fans

Batgirl, known by her real name as Barbara Gordon, is the daughter of the now-deceased Gotham Commissioner Jim Gordon. Like her father for his part, she has become a valuable supporter of Batman over the years. To be able to support him in the fight against criminals, she assumed the secret identity as Batgirl. In the course of her career, she had to take a break from actively hunting criminals, as she was gunned down by the super-villain Joker and couldn’t walk after that. In the following years and after a special treatment in an African clinic, she regained her walking ability and became active again as Batgirl. She is a master at hacking systems. In combat, she uses her skills in capoeira, jiu-jitsu and kickboxing. Her favorite weapon is the tonfa, which she uses to finish off her enemies.
