True to the RPG principle, developer Larian Studios has provided the fantasy role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 with romance and sex, among other things. In this guide, we’ll show you the companions you can romance and flirt with.
In the role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 a large game world awaits you, which is filled with all the elements to keep you glued to the screen for a long time. Apart from leveling up your self-created character or completing quests and killing monsters, you can also enter into romances with some companions in the course of the story.
Currently (as of August 2023), the video game offers a total of ten companions with whom you can romance. At the same time, their appearance or preferences could not be more different. In the following overview you will learn which romances are available in Baldur’s Gate 3 and we will tell you some information about the romances.
- Astarion: He is a descendant of a family of vampires who have lived in the world for centuries. After breaking off contact with his sadistically inclined master Cazador many years ago, he travels the world and wants to build a new life for himself. He is a friend of loyal behavior and likes to make fun of other people.
- Gale: Gale is a very talented wizard, who some time ago took a wrong path because of the goddess Mystra. Since then, he has been searching for magical artifacts and asks for your help in the search.
- Halsin: He is the first and most talented druid of the Druid Grove. Since he left on an expedition, he has been missing and it is up to you to find him again. You will be able to increase His favor if you act in the spirit of nature.
- Jaheira: She is a druid and half-elf, and has already played a role in the first two prequels of the video game, as well as Throne of Bhaal. The first meeting with her takes place at the Last Light Inn.
- Karlach: She is a strong fighter, fought in the Blood War and was captured. To rise in their favor, you should always make honorable statements and perform deeds. A romance with her is possible only later in the game. You have to help her “heal” her burning heart and you can do that with the help of Dammon.
- Lae’zel: The Githyanki warrior can transform into the monster she has sworn to destroy. To put an end to this, she must find a way to heal herself and prove herself worthy of a githyanki. It favors insults and behavior that glorifies violence. If you turn down some side quests, you will rise in their favor.
- Minsc: He is a slightly confused Rashemaar warrior who has had many adventures on the Sword Coast and elsewhere.
- Minthara: You first meet the bloodthirsty Drow in “Destroyed Sanctuary” in the Goblin Camp. To win her favor, you’ll have to help her attack the druid grove.
- Shadowheart: She is a cleric of Shar, who returned as the only survivor after a mission of the Lady of the Night. She likes it when you can convince conversation partners non-violently and avoid a fight.
- Wyll: Wyll has already made a name for himself as a hero in Baldur’s Gate 3 through his deeds and is the son of a famous Baldurian family. He roams the land as a monster hunter under the nickname “Blade of Frontiers.” In order to rise above himself and achieve more, he made a pact with a devil, which, however, took its toll.
