At the end of this year, developer Game Freak released Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the newest editions of the video game series. Once again, you’ll set out with your starter Pokémon to catch as many pocket monsters as possible and become the strongest trainer ever by training them. Besides the legendary cover Pokémon, you can catch four more. In this guide, we’ll show you what you need to do to get it and where to find it.
The legendary Pokémon are just waiting to be freed by you. A long time ago, these were sealed into a total of four shrines. To break the seal, you need to pull the associated stakes out of the Ground. These have been distributed throughout Paldea and are not marked on the map.
Once you have found one of these stakes, all you have to do is interact with them. After a short animation, you simply pull them out. There are a total of 32 stakes in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Eight stakes must be found for each legendary Pokémon. You can recognize them by their color. They come in yellow, green, blue and purple. You will be made aware of the quest when you complete the side quests from the Academy Teacher Moria. After a while, you will stand in the entrance hall of the academy and confront you with the four treasures of calamity. However, you can also start looking beforehand.
Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: These are the locations of the stakes
Blue Stake (1-8) – Firescourge Shrine: You can find the black poles, which shimmer blue, in the northeastern part of Paldea. Once you have removed all of them from the Ground and thus broken the seal of the shrine, the legendary Pokémon Chi-Yu awaits you. It is of the Fire and Dark type and resembles a fire fish.
Purple Stake (1-8) – Grasswither Shrine: You can find the purple stakes in the south of Paldea. After breaking the seal of the shrine, you will face the battle with the legendary Pokémon Wo-Chien. This ominous Pokémon resembles a plant-like snail and is of the Grass and Dark type.
Yellow Stake (1-8) – Icerend Shrine: You can find the shimmering yellow stakes in the western part of Paldea. Once you have removed all the stakes and go to the yellow shrine, you will face the battle with Chien-Pao. The Pokémon is of type Ice / Dark and resembles a Snow Cat.
Green Stake (1-8) – Groundblight Shrine: You can find the shimmering yellow stakes in the northern part of Paldea. Once you have removed all the stakes, the legendary Pokémon Ting-Lu awaits you. It resembles a powerful elk and is of the Ground and Dark type.
