The third-person RPG Remnant 2 comes from the video game developer Gunfire Games and was released for the usual platforms at the end of July 2023. It is the successor to Remnant: From the Ashes and is part of the video game series.
However, players of the predecessor and those who want to speed up their grind and loot process will miss a save editor in the sequel. This is missing so far, but we present good alternatives in this guide.
If you make use of a save editor in a video game, you can customize the values in the game as you wish with these mostly free small tools. This saves you playing time, as you can increase your experience points or items and objects as you wish. Such a save editor was particularly popular with many players in the predecessor Remnant: From the Ashes.
Unfortunately, this useful tool is missing in the prequel Remnant 2. However, there are some alternatives, which we would like to introduce to you.
Remnant 2: Download widely played save games of other players
One of the quickest and easiest ways to use a save editor replacement in Remnant 2 is to download save games from other players. On mod sites like NexusMods or Moddb some modders make save games available for free download which have a high level of progress and where many experience points or items have been farmed. On the NexusMods page, you can also search through the Remnant 2 category of modifications and save games yourself and download one that suits you.
The default location of the Remnant 2 save file can be found under (C:) “your user”, where you need to navigate to the “Saved Games” folder. Open it and find the folder for Remnant 2.
Remnant 2: Cheat engine as a replacement for a save editor
Another way to pimp your Remnant 2 Save Game is the Cheat Engine. You can use this tool in various games to edit your game progress manually. This allows you to award yourself experience points or increase the number of items as you wish without having to farm for a long time. All you have to do is start the game, in this case Remnant 2, and the cheat engine at the same time.

After a scan with the tool, select the game and start your project. A so-called cheat table for Remnant 2 is a good addition and takes a lot of work off your hands.
