The horror survival game Sons of the Forest offers you an open game world with many locations and dungeons. While exploring the island, you’ll have to contend in battles with cannibals and mutants and ensure your survival with food and drink.
Far from the fight for survival, developer Endnight Games has also given the game a story. To advance in this one, you’ll have to collect keycards to open locked doors in bunkers. In this guide we will show you where to find them.

The story of the survival game Sons of the Forest will take you to many locations, which can be found all over the map. As you explore and progress through the story, you’ll have to search for and find three key cards. These are located in different places in bunkers.
On the following picture of the map we have marked the locations of the key cards in Sons of the Forest. How you can enter the respective bunker and where exactly the cards are located, we show you below the picture.
The first keycard is the maintenance keycard and it can be found in a bunker underground. To enter it you need the shovel. We’ll show you where to find them in this guide. Use it to dig the entrance of the bunker and enter it. Follow the path there and enter the first room on the right. There you will find the map on a table next to a 3D printer.
The prerequisite for the second card is to have the first one. To get the VIP key card, you need to enter the cave, which we have marked for you below. Inside the cave is hidden another bunker, in which you will find the key card.
The third and final keycard in Sons of the Forest is the guest keycard. Cross the cave, past a 3D printer, to the locked door where the VIP key card is needed. In the room behind, follow the stairs up to the bar. At the end, on the right side on a table, you will find the guest keycard. By the way, you can’t miss the table – it is “decorated” with some corpses.
All three access cards are needed to complete the story of the survival game. While searching the maps you should equip yourself well and carry enough food as well as weapons and armor. On the way there you’ll meet some cannibals or mutants who want to get at you. As an alternative to fighting, you can of course just try to run past the enemies, but then the fun would fall a little by the wayside.
