The Japanese developer Poketpair has given the survival shooter Palworld a large open game world with lots to discover. You will encounter Pals of all different types, which you can capture and build your own base using the building system.
You need sulfur, among other things, to build your own base or to craft the various items, equipment or weapons. You won’t find this raw material everywhere, but we’ll show you where to find the best places to farm it in our guide.

Palworld: Find and farm sulfur, these are good places
The survival shooter Palworld offers you plenty of opportunities to let off steam. You can explore the open game world, mine raw materials and use them to build or craft something and capture the creatures called Pals and have them fight or work for you. Among raw materials, sulfur is a less common resource.
You can use sulfur to produce ammunition for your weapons and gunpowder, for example. You can recognize this by the boulders in the open game world, which shimmer yellow-green. One of the places where sulfur can be found is in caves and dungeons. Here you will occasionally find a few deposits of this special Rock.

Palworld: These are the best places to farm sulfur
In addition to the caves or in the lowlands, there are two places on the map where you can best farm sulfur. These are the regions in the desert and near the volcanoes:
- Sulfur in the desert region: In Palworld, the desert is one of the best places to find sulfur. You can farm the resource there relatively early on, as the Pals there are level 17 and above. Ore, Rock and even sulfur are easily recognizable in the desolate desert. Make sure you have tools such as a pickaxe (preferably made of metal) and enough space in your inventory where there is no fast travel point. Most of the desert’s sulfur deposits are centrally located there.
- Sulfur in the volcanic region : Probably the best place in Palworld to find sulfur is the volcanic region. However, you cannot farm there right at the start of the game, as the Pals there are level 35 and higher. In addition to sufficient space in the inventory, heat-resistant clothing is necessary as the temperatures in the region are high. Most of the sulfur deposits near the volcano can be found in front of the tower of the Brotherhood of the Eternal Pale, towards the lava crater on the left.
