The magical journey through the Harry Potter world in Hogwarts Legacy begins after character creation and a special excursion in the common room of the chosen Hogwarts house. When the fantasy blockbuster was released on February 10, 2023, the video game made big waves and has attracted millions of players to date.
Fans of the game are thirsting for more adventures in the magical world, but developer Avalanche Studios has so far released virtually no additional content. Now, a year later, publisher Warner Bros. has announced that several projects are in development … is the sequel Hogwarts Legacy 2 one of them?

Warner Bros.: Several games in the Harry Potter universe await us in the coming years
A few days ago, publisher Warner Bros. made an official statement about further video games based on Hogwarts Legacy: Interactive Entertainment President David Haddad told Variety that several projects set in the Harry Potter universe are currently in development.
Many players of Hogwarts Legacy would have liked to have had more of the most famous sport in the wizarding world called “Quidditch”. However, the fictional national sport was outsourced to the standalone game “Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions” and packaged in a standalone video game. This will be the next big title to be released by the publisher.
Further games are also set to follow in the coming years, and after the huge commercial success of Hogwarts Legacy, it seems certain that we can also expect the sequel Hogwarts Legacy 2.

Hogwarts Legacy sequel: Job advertisement hints at Hogwarts Legacy 2
We are pretty sure: Hogwarts Legacy 2 is coming. A few days ago, a job advertisement appeared from the Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software. It is looking for employees for a “high-profile AAA title”. Exactly the right job for a Hogwarts Legacy developer.
Among other things, we are looking for a Lead/Advanced Technical Artist who has experience with Unreal and Python/C++ (source) . This could be an indication that Hogwarts Legacy 2 is being developed in Unreal Engine 5. Incidentally, the current title was developed in Unreal Engine 4. It remains to be seen when the developer or publisher will announce a sequel (or prequel?) to the fantasy epic.
So it should be clear: Hogwarts Legacy 2 is coming, the only question is when.
