The fantasy role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 offers you a huge open game world full of places to explore and lots of quests. The game also includes many peoples and races or even supposed gods. In one of mystic Carrion’s quests, you are supposed to help him track down his undead servant. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the zombie.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Where to find the zombie Thrumbo
On your journey through the Undercity, you will encounter the undead necromancer and mummy lord Carrion. He has made himself at home on the lower floor of Philgraves Manor and asks you for help as part of a quest. You are to find his undead servant called Thrumbo and bring him back.
You can find Thrumbo on the coast in the lower town in Vonayn’s house. Go to the Heapside Strand waypoint and walk down the steps towards the wooden walkway and the boats. When you step onto the jetty for the first time, Sahuagin will attack you from the water.
Next to the wooden jetty you will find a house on the beach, which you can enter via a stone staircase. When you enter the house, you will see a cupboard on the right in which you can find and speak to Thrumbo.

Baldur’s Gate 3: Help the undead Thrumbo or kill him?
If you have found Thrumbo, you now have the option of killing him and returning him to Carrion or helping him. He reveals that the Mummy Ridge has brutally killed him and his friends and turned them into his willing zombie slaves. Now you can decide whether you want to kill Thrumbo and bring him back to his master, or help him and defeat Carrion.
- This is what happens when you help Thrumbo: The zombie will send you to the Old Cave in the sewer. Once in the crypt, you will find a locked door which you can break or unlock. Be careful though, because the zombies nearby will wake up and attack you. Once in the room, you will find the brain of the mystic Carrion in a jar on the table. In a chest nearby you will find his liver and notes about Carrion’s heart being hidden in Thrumbo. Return to the zombie servant and tell him everything. He will remove the heart from his body so that you can destroy it. Now destroy all the body parts you find to make the fight against Carrion easier. You will receive Carrion’s ring as a reward.
- This is what happens when you kill Thrumbo: If you kill the reluctant zombie servant Thrumbo, you will receive, among other things, the heart of Carrion after the successful fight. If you return to him and hand it over, you will receive the Torch of Revocation as a reward.
